Touch panel testing: Testing of planar or curved touch panels
In addition to their use in consumer electronics, touchscreens have also become indispensable in many areas of control. They also play an important role in modern car cockpits as a central interface for the user. To ensure suitability for these tasks, the touchscreens must be tested for various criteria both during the development process and during ongoing production. A robotic measuring system supplemented with an image processing system can be used for this purpose. By using 6-axis-arm robots, standard tests such as accuracy, linearity or jitter tests can be carried out with this extended system not only on flat surfaces but also on curved surfaces.
