The Last Five Years
Overview
An emotionally raw and intimate one-act musical by Jason Robert Brown about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy telling her story backwards while Jamie tells his story chronologically. The two characters’ narratives only converge once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. This piece invites audiences into the character’s experiences and asks them to examine their own motivations, emotions, and interactions.
Estimated run time is 90 minutes without an intermission and all performances will be in English.
