TAIKO BASTARDS in HAMBURG

Formed in 2020, TAIKO BASTARDS are an international group based in Germany and Belgium who offer a unique and musically creative approach to the art of Taiko performance. Their work includes collaborations with renowned artists from around the globe, and pushes the boundaries and level of playing, performance, composition and presentation of Taiko coming out of mainland Europe.

With each member coming from a different background, they fuse together the many facets and playing styles of modern Taiko, and demonstrate that it is possible to create engaging, high-quality content, despite physical distance and the vast differences that exist between playing styles.

TAIKO BASTARDS are Ingmar Kikat, Mel Ski, Jonas vom Orde and Steven Cools.
