Self-Therapy for Your Inner Team
Overview
Have you ever noticed you have a part that feels it ought to learn German, but another part that wants to relax and watch netflix instead? Or a voice that constantly criticises you? Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a model of the psyche developed by Richard Schwartz in the 80s, which recognises that we all naturally have different parts that make up our personalities, which have different emotions, beliefs and roles, a bit like an internal family.
In this workshop, you will learn about the model and how it can be used to achieve rapid growth and healing. We will start with some background, then everyone has an opportunity to get to know some of their parts in two inner journies. You will learn some techniques to understand and manage your emotions in your day to day life with IFS. One person will then have an opportunity to experience a guided IFS session.
