Professional Music Production & AI: What Is Safe, What to Avoid
Overview
This online session looks at how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly in professional music production, without hype and without automated music generation.
Rather than promoting generative systems or cloud-based “text-to-music” tools, the focus is on practical, non-generative and locally controlled approaches that can support real production work and are commonly regarded as low-risk within professional workflows.
We will talk about:
- where local and offline AI tools can genuinely support music production
- which approaches tend to raise copyright or ethical concerns
- how experienced producers can make informed choices about what is worth using, and what is better left alone
This is not a tool training session and not an introduction to AI.
It assumes basic familiarity with modern DAWs and production workflows.
The session is aimed at experienced DAW users, including professional producers and serious hobby musicians who actively work with music software and want a clearer, calmer understanding of AI’s role in production, without marketing language or exaggerated promises.
Duration: approx. 40 minutes, followed by a short Q&A.
