Oxytocin Lab For The Queers
Overview
WHAT IS OXYTOCIN LAB FOR THE QUEERS?
This is a space for the queers and everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. A space where your body doesn't have to perform or explain itself. Where softness isn't weakness and slowness isn't boring. Where we get to practice the kind of tender, melting connection that our bodies are actually starving for. A place to let masks fall to the floor and embrace each other’s vulnerability.
We're calling it Oxytocin Lab because that's what we're here to generate: the hormone of connection, trust and co-regulation. We'll get there by letting go of intensity and bringing slow pleasure, soft touch and the profound relief of being seen in a space that was built for you.
This isn't your typical intimacy workshop, babes. We're not pretending we're not affected by the world we live in. We're creating a container where queer bodies - all of them, in all their expressions - can practice belonging. And we're doing it through touch, presence and the radical act of slowing the f down.
WHY THIS MATTERS.
We've spent lifetimes navigating spaces that weren't designed for us. Adjusting, performing, explaining, justifying. Our nervous systems are constantly scanning: Is this safe? Can I be myself here? Will I be embraced or will I be tolerated or even dismissed?
That vigilance is exhausting. And it doesn't just live in our minds, it lives in our bodies. In the way we hold our shoulders, the way we breathe, the way we touch and are touched.
We see authentic connection as the antidote. The thing that signals to our nervous system: You can soften now. But here's the thing: unfortunately we can't force it. We can't think our way into it. We have to feel our way there, slowly.
And in our case that happens through co-regulation with others. Co-regulation is what happens when two (or more) nervous systems sync up and remind each other: it's okay. We're here. It happens through eye contact, through synchronized breath, through slow, intentional touch, through loving presence. It's what comes when we don't have to edit ourselves or manage other people's comfort and are finally allowed to stop scanning and start being. That's fucking important.
Don't think of this as just feeling good in the moment (though that matters too). Think of this rewiring our nervous systems to remember what safety and belonging actually feel like. It's about giving ourselves permission to be soft, to be slow, to land in peace.
WHAT WE DO HERE
Through guided exercises and partner/group exploration, you'll experience:
- Arriving into connection that unfolds slowly and melts your edges
- Letting yourself be witnessed, held in the kind of attention that doesn’t fix or judge
- Receiving touch that feels chosen and guided by your body’s pace
- Offering presence to another, meeting them with attuned hands
- Co-regulating through shared breath, grounding, touch or the stillness between you
This workshop involves emotional vulnerability and physical non sexual touch. You'll work with partners and in small groups, always with explicit consent and the freedom to adjust your level of participation.
This is a beginner workshop. No experience needed. Just come prepared to be present with tenderness.
