HACK'N'TALK | Built Environment Special

We meet on-site in the MakerSpace Event Area at the Munich Urban Colab to connect, share ideas, and support each other.

We start with an introduction to the UnternehmerTUM ecosystem, followed by an inspirational talk from leading figures from the world of entrepreneurship, including a Q&A section with questions from the audience. After that, it's time for pitching. We have six pitching slots for start-ups who want to present their ideas in 1-minute on stage. Afterward, it's time for networking! Plus, there will be the opportunity to join an exclusive MakerSpace tour.

For our Built Environment Special, our Keynote Speaker, Holger Rist, Head of Innovation at PERI, will illustrate how disruptive approaches can be used to discover innovation opportunities.

Disrupt yourself – many ways lead to Rome.

"At PERI, we primarily work with the scenario technique to identify relevant business areas and technologies that endanger existing and future business models and products. Of course, the future cannot be predicted by anyone. However, it is possible to recognize the signs of the future and develop resilient forecasts systematically. This allows for identifying company-relevant innovation goals whose need for action still needs to be visible. Suppose there is a realistic possibility of supplementing these core competencies with additional and new ones. In that case, PERI itself wants to be the first to lead the market and not wait until someone else disrupts our market."

Holger Rist now has a 20-year history in the context of innovation by turning ideas into reality. After various management positions in the field of product innovation for an automotive supplier, he stepped into the construction business with PERI. There he implemented product development processes and is now responsible for the market introduction of a novel disrupting technology in collaboration with the start-up Mesh AG, which is one result of PERI’s scenario approach.
