A bit of context: on Spiral land there is an old water reservoir that had been abandoned for decades.

Art has a way of bringing life back into silent spaces — artist Yulia Belousova saw potential in this concrete “void”, and created an 8-hour performance inside it — immersing herself fully in the space’s silence and emptiness. From that creative act The Egg project (https://spiralpark.com/the-egg) emerged.

Now we invite you to the first public opening of The Egg — a playful evening with a creativity workshop, artist talk, and presentation of the video art piece “The Power of the Void” created at Spiral Madeira.

This video art is based on Yulia’s durational performance inside the reservoir — 8 hours in complete solitude, without food or water, immersed in the raw emptiness of the space, exploring the boundaries of body, mind, and creative inquiry. The video piece captures the essence of that experience and the birth of The Egg.

This gathering is also a way to support art and the ongoing creation of The Egg space.
