APMP Foundation Certification

The workshop for the Foundation Level Certification takes place on one day and optional the certification EXAM can take place after the Workshop with a short preparation break.

BidBox will register Participants for the EXAM with Tickets including EXAM Fee. Participants can stay for the EXAM the day of the workshop or get a BBX-APMP Foundation EXAM voucher instead, so they can do the Online EXAM any time, which suits particpants best.

Before the workshop, preparatory documents such as the APMP Body of Knowledge, the APMP Accreditation Program syllabus or the APMP Glossary of Terms are needed to follow the workshop. Participants should study the following documents in advance through self-study.

This makes it easier for the participants to understand and apply common terms and ap-proaches for the proposal management, that are used in the workshop. It also makes it easier to retrieve the newly refreshed knowledge in the certification exam immediately after the workshop.The exam consists of a 65-minute multiple choice test that covers 75 questions. Of these 75 questions, 42 answers (56%) must be correct to obtain the Foundation Level certification.

The preparation workshop enables the participants optimally for the following exam and uses sample questions from past exams to demonstrate the type of the questions to give them an understanding of the test questions. The result of the examination is exclusively "passed" or "failed". In case of failing, it is possible to retrieve the examination after 6 months earliest.

To get certified at the Foundation level, the participants need to have a total of one-year professional experience in bid and proposal management or equivalent. This proof should be confirmed by a reference person.

The participant needs to pass the certification exam, in which he/she sets out his/her knowledge and understanding of best practices in bid and proposal management. The entire certification measure will be carried out in English: The workshop with an English presentation as well as the preparatory documents up to the examination questions.

APMP Certification Model

This certification syllabus is a list of competencies, each corresponding to skills or scenarios that professionals commonly encounter in the bid and proposal environment.

These competencies are organized into categories and rooted in industry best practice, including doc-uments such as the APMP Body of Knowledge and APMP Glossary of Terms.

There are three levels of APMP certification: Foundation, Practitioner, Capture Practitioner and Professional.

Training Content

APMP Foundation Level Certification follows a given competence roadmap. The following four Competence Areas are the Framework of APMP Certification:

1. Focus on the customer (FC)
2. Create Deliverables (CD)
3. Manage Processes (MP)
4. Use Tools and Systems (TS)

Furthermore APMP Foundation Study Guide Topics are covered in the workhop. The APMP Body of Knowledge (Online) - BOK is a key information source and covered in the workshop.
