SDL is led by Edwin Cooke, who earned a Master’s degree in AI from UWCC in 1992/1993. His career began in blue-chip IT and electronics companies such as De La Rue, Brother International, and RAC, before he struck out on his own.In 2004, Edwin launched Flat Pack Amigos (https://www.flatpackamigos.co.uk/), a trusted service assembling flat-pack furniture through a nationwide network of vetted contractors — helping people who can’t, or simply don’t want to, do it themselves.Always ahead of the curve, Edwin built his first chatbot in 2017, deploying it on the company website using Amazon Web Services Lex (the “lex” behind Alexa).
