Learning objectives:

The objective of this online training is to provide clusters with a deeper understanding of financial flows and variables affecting their SMEs and enabling clusters to advise their SMEs accordingly. It will teach participants how to properly identify the business's break-even point and familiarise them with the basic business profit equation. The training will answer the following:

How to understand the nature of your expenses and costs (what are the common kinds of costs);
How to identify overhead costs;
Understanding variable costs;
The basic formula for break-even and what the break-even point looks like;
How to apply the concept of “break-even” to evaluate new opportunities;
Know how to use break-even analysis for decision-making.

Course content:

Successful business is not only about increasing sales and decreasing costs. Sales and costs are not independent but are instead closely related business components and the key to increasing profitability lies precisely in managing and leveraging that correlation. In this webinar, participants will be taught how to determine the revenue needed to cover their fixed and variable expenses and detect the point at which the company is generating profit. The specific topics that we will touch upon during this training are the following:

The basics of Break-Even Analysis;
Types of SME costs;
Revenue and pricing;
The break-even graph;
The break-even formula;
An exercise to calculate the break-even point.

Prof. Mladen Radisic is a university professor in the area of Business and Finance, and he has the position of CEO at Foodscale Hub.
