HOTMAPS

HOTMAPS is a Horizon2020 funded project aiming at supporting heating and cooling planning at local, regional and national scale. A team of experts and developers coming from leading research institutions across Europe put together an open dataset on heating and cooling covering the 28 European Union member states and created a free online software that quickly provides planners with a first estimation of the heating and cooling demand in their area and analyses the potential of local renewable energy to cover it. The software was co-developed and tested with 7 European pilot areas. It’s beta version has been released in March 2019 but the developers will work to further improve it  until autumn 2019.
