CoMA Manchester

CoMA Manchester is one of the most active community-based experimental new music groups in the UK. A mixed ensemble with all-ability instrumentalists and noise-makers, it “take[s] on ambitious projects and produce[s] imaginative, high-quality performances whilst remaining open for anyone to join them” (Creative Tourist, 2021). The ensemble has established a unique creative identity in recent years amongst Manchester’s vibrant experimental music community. Past projects included the Streaming Blue festival series (funded by Arts Council England and in partnership with environmental charity Groundwork), producing concerts and new compositions around Manchester’s green and blue spaces.
