ACE Planning Company is a Canadian health planning company founded by Carly Hickey, RN, MN, CNCC(C)—an intensive care nurse with over a decade of experience supporting patients and families through serious illness, aging, and end-of-life decisions.
After years working in adult ICU, Carly saw a recurring and painful pattern: families are often unprepared for medical crises, aging parents, and the decisions that follow. This lack of preparation can lead to unnecessary suffering, conflict, moral distress, and complicated grief. ACE Planning Company was created to change that.
We host accessible, evidence-informed workshops, webinars, and community events focused on advance care planning, caregiving, aging wellness, the sandwich generation and navigating the healthcare system. We support adult children, caregivers, seniors and the “sandwich generation.” Our events are practical, human, and conversation-driven, designed to help people walk away with clarity, tools, and confidence.
Our mission is simple: to help individuals and families plan ahead so they can age well, make informed decisions, and support one another with dignity before a crisis forces those conversations.
