L.A. Percussion Rentals is a Santa Clarita, California–based musical instrument rental company specializing in percussion and backline gear. Founded in 2005 by a husband‑and‑wife team of professional percussionists, the company serves orchestras, film and TV productions, studios, tours, schools, and individual musicians. They offer a wide range of instruments—from orchestral percussion, drum sets, world percussion, rare instruments, world percussion, backline equipment, and even harp and celesta. LAPR is also home to part of the legendary Emil Richards Collection, instruments that have a long history in the L.A. recording studios, which have been restored and available for performance and recording. Beyond rentals, they provide consulting services—covering season‑program review, on‑set musical props, sound exploration with professional percussionists, touring logistics, and orchestral staging equipment. They also offer pro onsite recording as the first large-scale rental house dedicated to tracking percussion.
