Dr Paris Psychology
Dr Paris is a Clinical Psychologist, Lecturer, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Life Coach, and award-winning Mentor with over 10 years of experience in mental health. With deep expertise in human behaviour and relational dynamics, she supports individuals in deepening self-awareness, building healthy coping strategies, and creating more fulfilling lives.
She has a particular expertise in working with self-abandonment and survival identity, the patterns people develop when core needs for safety, belonging, and worth go unmet. Her work helps individuals recognise the survival roles they've been playing, and gently rebuild the relationship with themselves that those strategies slowly eroded. This work is informed by her doctoral research, which explored how childhood parentification shaped the personal and professional identities of Black female clinical psychologists - examining the hidden costs of early caregiving, the Strong Black Woman Schema, and what it means to finally put yourself down as worthy of care.
Alongside her clinical roles in the NHS, Dr Paris actively contributes to community initiatives and outreach, extending her impact well beyond the therapy room. She has collaborated with a wide range of organisations including BBC Radio London, Fulham Football Club, Barclays, PwC, Celutions UK, ARK Academy, Homegirls Unite, Forward UK, KINSIS, SMBC Bank, Advance Charity, Young Ladies Club, SPOKE World, and Voices of America.
Whether in a lecture theatre, a therapy room, or an online session, Dr Paris shows up with the same goal — to help people step into their potential with confidence and clarity.
