Buddhist Council Queensland
The Buddhist Council of Queensland (BCQ) brings together a diverse and vibrant community of Buddhist centres and societies from across the state. Established in 1999 and incorporated in 2000, the Council supports collaboration, mutual understanding, and shared purpose among all Buddhist traditions in Queensland.
As a not-for-profit charitable organisation, BCQ represents its member centres with fairness, transparency, and respect, while working to promote the understanding and practice of Buddhism more broadly. Through its affiliation with the Federation of Australian Buddhist Councils, BCQ also contributes to national initiatives that support the growth and presence of Buddhism throughout Australia.
BCQ warmly supports events that foster wisdom, compassion, and community connection, and welcomes people of all backgrounds to engage with Buddhist teachings and activities.
