Anxiety - noun - /æŋˈzaɪəti/ (about/over something) the state of feeling nervous or worried that something bad is going to happen. A strong feeling of wanting to do something or of wanting something to happen.

We all either chase after things we crave, or flee from things we fear. Whether we realize it or not. And it makes us human. For as Heraclitus said, "No person steps into the same river twice, for it's neither the same person nor the same river."

The comedians will make🎭 you laugh, poets will make you cry. Let's step together into the river this night.

This show is presented by Berlin Mental Health Festival.

Berlin-born Cedric Till has become an instantly recognizable and memorable presence in the spoken word scene due to his raw emotionality, wry humor as well as his complex and densely layered wordplay.

Originally and primarily a HipHop artist, Cedric's pride in his craft drives him to keep adding more skills to his portfolio, be it storytelling, creative writing or more recently singing. He is currently working on a poetry collection as well as his next HipHop EP, both to be published this year.

🎤 Bruno Mazzini (comedy / 🇵🇪 / IG: @brunochillplease)

Bruno Mazzini is a Berlin-based Peruvian comedian. Is that it? Basically. With no unique features that define him, Bruno is desperately looking for some characteristics that he can use to describe himself. Maybe the fact that he's anxious all the time counts? Not really, most people are anxious all the time.

Anyway, Bruno hosts Sorry Not Sorry Comedy and Inside Jokes, two of the dopest mics in town according to him. His comedy is silly, dark-ish and questionably insightful.

🎤 Mihai Tartara (comedy / 🇷🇴 / @ IG: @mihaithewerewolf)

Mihai Tartara is a stand-up comedian & software developer originally from Romania. He has started stand-up in the dark side of Europe (Denmark ) but he has recently moved to Berlin where he performs almost every night, as well as running his own shows.

His topics mostly include borderline incomprehensible abstract concepts or deeply explicit sexual material.

His anxiety stems exclusively from irrational thoughts with the fear of death being a constant thread in his everyday life.

Nir Gottleid is an Israeli comic based in Berlin, Germany, because he heard "for some reasons, there's a shortage of Jews in Germany".

Nir is probably severely depressed, owing to the many years of suicidal ideation, but he never had the balls to go to a therapist. He was a research subject of a study on comedians and mental illness and trauma.

🎤 Tera Kilbride (comedy / 🇺🇸 / @ IG: @teracomedy_)

Tera Kilbride (USA) has been dealing with anxiety in creative ways since she was 9 years old. She's achieved the anxiety hattrick: OCD, anxiety, cPTSD - which is just a way of attempting to control the inevitable. Good thing for 2020...it´s all a crapshoot, now! She strangely feels calm in the midst of chaos.

Her pursuits took her through a lifetime of performance making, improvisation, theater, and stand up comedy, and a masters degree in psychology. After moving to Berlin she moved her focus towards being a comedian, host and producer -- because frankly, you can get way, way weirder.

She runs three shows: This Could Get Awkward mic, GLOW, and Hot and Bothered: Comedy and Burlesque.
