Fab City:

The workshop is implemented by researchers of the Helmut Schmidt University within the framework of the research project Fab City, which is funded by – Digitalization and Technology Research Center of the Bundeswehr. The Hamburg Port Authority and the Helmut Schmidt University are working together to build the OpenLab port on the homePORT campus. In this living lab we jointly explore the potentials of decentralized, open and digital production for the port industry (e.g. for ad hoc spare parts production using additive production means).
