We invite PhD students of the science faculty at KFU Graz to a Trip to Riegersburg.
First, we will visit the Zotter Chocolate Experience World (www.zotter.at/en/zotter-experience-world). “During the exciting tasting tour through the Chocolate Theatre you will witness live how chocolate is created. You can look inside our production through the glass architecture and at the same time check out at the tasting stations how the cocoa bean is transformed into chocolate. From the bean to the bar. After eating loads of cholate, we will spend some time outdoors in the Edible Zoo. At the Edible Zoo, you can enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and scenery, relax and watch our animals. Lots of action and fun await at the adventure playground, the giant slide and the Farmer's Golf course.”
Then, we will head on to the stunning Riegersburg (www.dieriegersburg.at). “The Riegersburg towers proudly and powerfully on the 482 meter high volcanic rock, from which it overlooks the south-east Styrian hill country. In all the centuries of its existence, the Riegersburg could never be conquered. Nowadays, the climb up to the castle is much easier, but always an experience.”
After this exhausting climb, we will head to a typical Styrian Buschenschank (www.buschenschank-bernhart.at). We will get a wine tasting tour in their family winery. It begins with a journey through the Styrian variety: from the classic Welschriesling to the trendy Sauvignon Blanc to their red graces such as the Blauer Zweigelt or the Carbernet Sauvignon. The wines are presented and commented on in the vaulted cellar or on the panoramic terrace by cellar master Seppi Nestelberger. To end the day properly, we will invite you to a tratditional Styrian Bauernjause.
