Tips and techniques for high-level IELTS
This webinar looks at ideas and approaches towards teaching IELTS for high-level learners. There will be a particular emphasis on writing task 2, but many of the ideas can be used in speaking as well. The webinar will look at ways in which teachers can maximise students' IELTS scores at 6.5 and above, particularly in relation to improving their grammar and vocabulary, but also looking at ideas generation and organisation. An increase number of students are now aiming for a 7.0 in IELTS, and often need this score in all parts, but find it difficult to go beyond the 6.0-6.5 plateau. I will look at a wide range of ideas and classroom-based activities which can help students to push their scores up, whilst at the same time keeping students' interest, and making classes dynamic and interactive.
