Description

We are excited to announce that Frank-Andreas Hatzack, Senior Executive Advisor at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies and advisory board speaker of CIF, will present the first WORKSHOP and the third LECTURE of the series at January 31 2019. Frank will speak about “Future-Driven Value Propositions” and "Chemistry 2050".

Abstract WORKSHOP “Future-Driven Value Propositions”

Which upcoming “megatrends” and related scenarios in Chemistry do entrepreneurs need to be aware of? Transfer “megatrend" insights into a value proposition.

Making sense of the world today is challenging for most organizations, and yesterday’s paradigms cannot be applied for future decisions. The workshop identifies “megatrends” and how they shape society, economics and consumer behavior. ”Megatrends” are summarized by global, sustained and macro-economic forces of development. Presented workshop insights and scenario-driven strategies are meant for transformation into business models and adequate value propositions:

- Value propositions go beyond solutions and productions
- They focus on the customers journey and the ‘jobs-to-be-done’
- Jobs-to-be can only be properly understood if the customers’ perspective on the future is factored in
- What are future perspectives and how can they help us to developing superior value propositions an investor pitches

Abstract LECTURE "Chemistry 2050"

Which strategic objectives are relevant for chemical industry 2050? Learn how chenmcial indistry may look like in 2050.

The chemical industry plays a pivotal role for several value chains and sectors in the economy. Sustainable developments towards a circular economy is unthinkable without a chemical industry that emphasizes renewable energy and materials. The lecture highlights strategic objectives as pathways for industry transformation and sustainable development.

- What are the megatrends impacting our future in the next three decades?
- What will the future of the chemical industry look like in the world of 2050?
- What are the opportunities that present themselves for the chemical industry in Europe?
- How can start-ups tap into the future story?
