THE COLONY — High Tea, Low-Key Revenge
Overview
THE COLONY
High Tea — Low-Key Revenge
A Hangry Berliner Pop-Up | Thursday, 15 January 2026 | 16:00–20:00
Let’s talk scones and self-awareness.
The Colony is a playful, provocative high-tea experience that reimagines Britain’s most beloved ritual through a South Asian lens. It’s part reflection, part rebellion, and fully dipped in cardamom, masala, and post-empire humour.
This isn’t Bridgerton cosplay.
This is edible decolonisation — warm, spicy, a little uncomfortable, and very delicious.
Inspired by the Empire Podcast (Anita Anand & William Dalrymple), diaspora stories, and the lingering aftertaste of imperialism, The Colony invites you to sip, snack, and squirm… in the most delightful way.
Tickets Include
- Full high-tea menu
- Gin & chai welcome drink
- All-day snacks and storytelling
- A space to unlearn, laugh, and eat beautifully
Gratuity not included — reparations are emotional, tips are financial.
