Description
Teaching English to Pre-Primary Children: Looking at learning
In this webinar, we will explore the under considered area of assessment in pre-primary English education, following the structure of the Delta Teacher Development Series - theory, practice and professional growth. First, we will present some theory around the specificities of teaching pre-primary children and the implications this has on looking at learning. We will then present some practical activities to involve a melody of voices – the child’s, the parents’ and the pre-primary educators – to provide examples of developmentally appropriate assessment approaches. Finally, we will suggest how you can reflect on this and consider your own personal and professional growth when teaching English to pre-primary children. We will round off with a short Q&A session.
Speakers: Sandie Mourão & Gail Ellis
