Climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic and un-sustainable consumption and production patterns are global challenges that severely affects our lives and compromises our ability to thrive in the future. In Mauritius, the tourism industry may overcome these challenges by integrating sustainability approaches in its value chains.
This Series of Online Workshops will help your organisation to become more resilient and sustainable as Mauritius is restarting its tourism in the COVID-19 aftermath.
The Sustainable Island Mauritius (SIM) Project is supporting tour operators, hotels and other key stakeholders in tourism sector to develop, promote and deliver sustainable tourism products to the mainstream market.
The “Sustainable Island Mauritius - Online Workshop Series” consists of 5 inter-dependent thematic workshops. Participants (hotels, tour operators, etc.) will be enabled to get latest tourism insights and the supporting tools to develop new tourism products and services to fit the new realities.
Each webinar will build upon each other. It starts with topics as follows:
1) Global Trends and Local Challenges; 2) Your Impacts; 3) Your Products; 4) Measuring Your Progress; and 5) Communicating & Marketing Your Sustainability Progress.
Following the workshop series, a 1:1 expert coaching session is offered to participants who are keen on learning how to use the tools , i.e. Company-level self-diagnosis tool and Product development tool.
