Auch wenn er die Tatsache akzeptiert hat, dass das Leben durchaus sinnlos sein kann, bleibt Thijs van de Meulen alias Roofman dennoch ein Romantiker. Seine Texte erinnern an die Natur, die Liebe sowie an unsere einfachen täglichen Gedanken und malen Bilder, für die man keine Worte findet. Obwohl er aus einer Kleinstadt in den niederländischen Wäldern stammt, ist sein Horizont alles andere als hinterwäldlerisch. 🎵

Um seine musikalische Vision zu erweitern, verbrachte er die letzten Jahre mit intensiven Reisen, um mit Künstlern aus aller Welt zu musizieren, Erfahrungen auszutauschen und neue Eindrücke zu sammeln. Diese Erfahrungen, in Kombination mit seinen musikalischen Inspirationen wie Neil Young, The Walkmen und John Lennon, werden auf seinem Debütalbum "Still The Mess I Was" festgehalten. 🎸

Despite accepting the fact that life can be meaningless, Thijs van de Meulen, also known as Roofman, remains a romantic at heart. His lyrics evoke nature, love, and our simple daily thoughts, painting pictures that defy words. Coming from a small town in the Dutch woods, his perspective is far from provincial. 🎵

To expand his musical vision, he spent the past years engaging in intense journeys, collaborating with artists from around the world, exchanging experiences, and collecting new impressions. These experiences, combined with his musical influences such as Neil Young, The Walkmen, and John Lennon, are captured in his debut album, "Still The Mess I Was." 🎸
