From the age of seventeen, folk singer-songwriter Sonny Casey has been busking and gigging her songs all over Europe.
Raised in Galway, Ireland, her music is deeply influenced by poetry and storytelling. Her low, raspy voice, gentle guitar picking and narrative lyricism reveals a depth and intimacy to her songs that goes beyond her twenty three years.
In 2020, Sonny moved to Berlin and recorded her first EP live with a band, transforming her songs from bones to flesh.
Her upcoming EP ‘Phoebe’ is set for release on the 26th of November 2021.
In celebration of this release, Sonny will play her first headline show on Saturday 20th of November at Prachtwerk, Berlin.
