Diesen Sommer findet in Deutschland zum ersten Mal der Solar Decathlon statt. Der Zehnkampf für nachhaltiges Bauen und Wohnen begeistert seit 20 Jahren weltweit Millionen von Menschen mit klimafreundlichen Gebäuden und hochkarätigen Events.

Vom 10. bis zum 26. Juni kommt die renommierte Veranstaltung nach Wuppertal. Hochschulteams aus elf Ländern zeigen, wie man klimafreundlich und kostengünstig Baulücken schließt, Gebäude aufstockt oder in die Jahre gekommene Mehrfamilienhäuser saniert.

Von Architektur bis Technologie, von Handwerk bis Politik, von Wissenschaft bis Kultur: Der Solar Decathlon Europe in Wuppertal bietet Raum zum Gestalten, Vernetzen und Mitmachen.

Der Eintritt ist gratis. Bitte zeigen Sie ihr Ticket am Eingang vor (digital oder ausgedruckt). Bitte beachten Sie: Die Uhrzeit auf dem Ticket bezieht sich nur auf den Zeitpunkt des Eintritts.

Während der Öffnungszeiten können Sie fortlaufend an kostenfreien Führungen durch die Gebäude teilnehmen.

Anreise:

Der Haupteingang befindet sich an der Nordbahntrasse gegenüber des Mirker Bahnhofs (Mirker Str. 48, 42105 Wuppertal).

Durch die Innenstadtlage des Veranstaltungsorts sind keine Parkplätze am Gelände vorhanden. Bitte nutzen Sie zur Anreise den ÖPNV.

Vom Wuppertaler Hauptbahnhof (Bussteig 2) fahren die Buslinien 607, 620, 625, 635 und 645 Richtung Mirke. Die Linien 607 (in den Abendstunden) und 620 halten direkt am Mirker Bahnhof. Mit allen anderen Linien können Sie bis zur Haltestelle Schleswiger Straße fahren. Von dort sind es nur wenige Minuten Fußweg.

Your event for sustainable cities. 10 - 26 June 2022

This summer, the Solar Decathlon will take place in Germany for the first time. For 20 years, the decathlon for sustainable building and living has inspired millions of people worldwide with climate-friendly buildings and high-profile events.

From 10 to 26 June, the renowned event will come to Wuppertal. Eighteen university teams from eleven countries demonstrate how to sustainably and cost-effectively close gaps between buildings, add storeys to buildings or renovate ageing residential buildings.

The Solar Decathlon Europe invites people to create, connect, and share – from architecture to technology, crafts to politics, and science to culture.

Admission is free of charge. Please show your ticket (digital or printed) at the entrance. Tickets are available via the orange button (Datum Auswählen) at the top right of the page. Please note: The time on the ticket refers only to the time of entry.

Opening days of the buildings:

• Friday, 10 to Sunday, 12 June
• Thursday, 16 to Sunday, 19 June
• Wednesday, 22 to Sunday, 26 June 2022

Opening hours:

• 10 June: 3 pm to 9:30 pm
• 25 June: 10:30 am to 10:30 pm
• All other days: 10:30 am to 9:30 pm

During opening hours, you can take part in free guided tours of the buildings on an ongoing basis.

How to get there:

The main entrance is located on Nordbahntrasse opposite Mirker Bahnhof (Mirker Str. 48, 42105 Wuppertal).

Due to the inner-city location of the venue, there are no parking spaces available on site. Therefore, please use public transport to get there.

Bus lines 607, 620, 625, 635 and 645 leave from Wuppertal central station (bus platform 2) in the direction of Mirke. Lines 607 (in the evening) and 620 stop directly at Mirke station. You can take all other lines to the Schleswiger Straße stop. From there it is only a few minutes walk.
