Ländliche Gesundheitsversorgung neu denken –
Deutsche und nordische Erfahrungen

Lange Wege bis zum nächsten Krankenhaus, fehlende
Ärzte auf dem Land – was in mehr und mehr Regionen
Deutschlands zur gesundheitspolitischen Herausforderung
wird, ist in den nordischen Ländern oft Realität. In
Nordeuropa entstanden aus dieser Ausgangslage heraus
innovative Lösungen für die Gesundheitsversorgung, und
auch in Deutschland werden zukunftsfähige Modelle entwickelt.
Was können wir im Austausch zwischen Nordeuropa
und Deutschland lernen?

Eine gemeinsamen Konferenz der fünf nordischen Botschaften
und der Herbert Quandt-Stiftung am 20. Oktober
2014 in Berlin will dieser Frage nachgehen. Die Tagung
bringt Politiker, Ärzte, Wissenschaftler, Journalisten sowie
Vertreter der Krankenkassen und der kommunalen Ebene
zusammen.

Anläßlich des 15-jährigen Jubiläums der Nordischen Botschaften
findet nach der Konferenz ein Empfang statt.

Rethinking Rural Health Care –
Nordic and German Experiences

Long distances to the nearest hospital, a lack of doctors in
rural areas – the challenges in a growing number of regions
in Germany have long been the reality in large parts of
the Nordic countries. Population density has always been
low across large areas of Northern Europe. The advantage
of this is that it promotes innovation. Demographic changes
in Germany are creating a similar situation here, particularly
in rural areas. What can we learn from each other?

The conference that is to be hosted by the five Nordic embassies
in cooperation with the Herbert Quandt-Stiftung
in Berlin on 20 October 2014 will deal with this question.
Politicians, doctors, scientists and representatives of public
health insurance systems and public institutions will
come together to share Nordic and German experiences
and rethink the rural healthcare system.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Nordic Embassies
a reception will be hosted after the conference.
