The Stuttgart Chapter of Women in AI & Robotics and our partner KI Garage, a project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, invite you to attend our first in-person event on July 13th, 2022 at the wonderful event location at the Kriegsbergstraße 42, 70174 Stuttgart.
Agenda:
4 pm: Doors will open for participants of the workshops.
4:15 pm: Start of the two parallel workshops which are taking place on site in Stuttgart.
5:30 pm: Doors will open for everyone. The event will take place on site only. There is no live stream.
6 pm: The main event will start with welcome messages from the organizers. After this, there will be a keynote given by Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Jivka Ovtcharova . She will show how #AI, #DigitalTwins and #VR can be applied to challenges in the field of sustainable operations in manufacturing and renewable energy production. This is followed by a panel discussion on the topic "How can AI support us in reaching the SDGs?".
🍷💬 After the panel, the visitors will have the opportunity to network with the speakers and other members of the community. A variety of snacks and refreshments will be available at the event.

📣 For our upcoming in-person #Stuttgart event “Reaching the Sustainable Development Goals with AI” on July 13, we are happy to announce our keynote speaker: Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Jivka Ovtcharova 🙌
🌍 She is head of the Institute for Information Management in Engineering (IMI) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and director of Process and Data Management in Engineering in the field of Intelligent Systems and Production Engineering at the Research Center for Computer Science (FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik) in Karlsruhe.
🌎 She founded a Lifecycle Engineering Solutions Center, an Industry 4.0 Collaboration Lab, and a Center for Artificial Intelligence Talents.
🌏 She is one of the 25 Women for the Digital Future in Germany and the winner of the first Inspiring Fifty DACH Award.
✨ In her keynote she will show how #AI, #DigitalTwins and #VR can be applied to challenges in the field of sustainable operations in manufacturing and renewable energy production. Her extensive research includes interesting examples from digital twins of tunnel boring machines to algorithms for wind turbine operations and energy demand forecasting.
✨ Join Jivka, Women in AI & Robotics and our partner KI-Garage, a project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung GGmbH, on the evening of the 13th of July in person at the Kriegsbergstraße 42, 70174 Stuttgart. Her keynote is part of the main event which will start at 6 pm.
✨ Carina Mieth, city lead Stuttgart of Women in AI and robotics will moderate the panel discussion on how we can reach the sustainable development goals with #AI.
She will be discussing this interesting and these days very relevant topic with the following experts:
✨ Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h. c. Jivka Ovtcharova from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, who is an engineer, professor and practitioner of Science for Life. She is highly motivated to bring her research in the field of AI, Digital Twins and VR for more sustainability into practice.
✨ Patricia Moock, certified SDG for business change leader and climate protection officer who founded her own company 4L Impact Strategies to accelerate the much needed systemic change towards sustainability and digitization.
✨ Michael Dietz, Cloud Customer Engineer at Google Cloud, helps startups and scale-ups to grow their business. He is passionate about sustainability and how the cloud can contribute to a greener future.
📣👩🏫 We are happy to announce the first in-person workshop at 4 pm on “Leveraging AI for sustainability challenges”. In this workshop, you will:
✅ learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), their purpose and how to contextualize and work with them as a north star for innovation
✅ discuss why AI is important to solve sustainability challenges
✅ learn about the most pressing challenges within the SDGs targets
✅ develop AI-based innovation for selected SDG sub targets with an SDG innovation canvas
✨👩🏫 The workshop is led by Patricia Moock, CEO & Co-Founder of 4L Impact Strategies GmbH. Patricia is a certified SDG for business change leader and climate protection officer.
🌍 Starting her career as a chemical engineer, she has worked for a long time as a project engineer in the chemical industry with stations in Canada, Belgium and Germany.
🌍 Motivated by the urgently needed system changes towards sustainability and digitalization, she co-founded 4L Impact Strategies - a sustainability consultancy and academy.
🌍 In her work with clients, she integrates innovation and strategic organizational development with sustainability.

📣👩🏫 We are happy to announce the second in-person workshop at 4 pm on “Alignment of SDGs and AI”. In this workshop, you will:
✅ learn about the relevance of SDGs within the AI world
✅ get an overview on Green Machine Learning (Green Cloud / Sustainable Infrastructure, GPU Servers, OpenStack, SecuStack and Managed Kubernetes)
✅ see examples for current AI products that are contributing to the 17 goals
✅ participate in a practical part, where you develop your own use case for your top 3 SDGs to incorporate AI into a sustainable business or sustainability into an AI business
✨👩🏫 The workshop is led by Jonas Braun and Marcel Isbert from statworx. Seats are limited, don’t forget to register!
