About this event
Pia Szur is a graphic designer and printmaker, active member and head of the artist association Kunstwerkstatt Treptow e.V. This association has been running the Lithographie Werkstatt Berlin since the early nineties and continues to be a nest of creativity till today.
During this demonstration, Pia Szur will introduce us to the individual steps necessary to prepare the stone from sanding to drawing to finally producing a print run. The final printing process is made on a mechanical lithographic press. In between, Pia will will talk about the history of Lithographie, 200 years of ups and downs, and the advantages it offers.

Pia Szur ist Grafikdesignerin und Druckkünstlerin, aktives Mitglied und Leiterin des Künstlervereins Kunstwerkstatt Treptow e.V. Dieser Verein betreibt seit Anfang der neunziger Jahre die Lithographie Werkstatt Berlin und ist bis heute ein Nest der Kreativität.
Pia Szur wird uns in dieser Vorführung die einzelnen Vorbereitungsschritte des Steins vom Schleifen über das Zeichnen bis hin zur Produktion einer Druckauflage vorstellen. Der endgültige Druck erfolgt auf einer mechanischen Steindruckpresse. Dazwischen wird Pia Szur über die Geschichte der Lithographie, 200 Jahre Höhen und Tiefen und die Vorteile, die sie bietet, sprechen.
