The IAKS Pool expert circle offers a public online conference on 30 November 2020 to discuss the current situation of pool operations under Covid-19 conditions and ideas for future pool developments.
In the first of three panel discussions, pool operators will exchange concepts, experiences and outlooks for operating pools under Covid-19 restrictions. Topics such as the registration and admission process or social distancing in pool environments will be discussed. The panel includes Marc Riemann (Kölnbäder, Germany), Derek Anderson (Aura Holohan Group, Ireland), and Thomas Meier (GMF, Germany).
In a second panel discussion, pool engineers will identify possibilities to optimize air ventilation systems to ensure a safe pool environment for users. Invited experts are Bjorn Aas (NTNU, Norway), Jürgen Kannewischer (Kannewischer Ingenieurgesellschaft, Germany), and Tom Devin (Devin Consulting, UK).
Finally, architects Gar Holohan (Aura Holohan Group, Ireland), Michael Hall (FaulknerBrowns, UK), and Darryl Condon (HCMA architecture + design, Canada) will discuss how Covid-19 might influence the design of future public pool buildings.
