Join our opening night for this years MUNICH TECH DAYS.

We will start the night with some drinks & snacks, networking - followed by inspiring talks and live music.

Welcome by Bavarian Minister of State for Justice Georg Eisenreich

Talk: "The Future is Electric" by Laszlo Varro, Chief Economist of the International Energy Agency (IEA, Paris)

While electricity is only 22% of total energy consumption, the clean energy technologies displaying the most radical technological progress, wind and solar PV are all electricity generating technologies. A future clean energy system will need to have a much higher reliance on electricity in applications like transport and will have to unlock flexibility to integrate an ever increasing share of variable wind and solar production. Advanced digitalization of the energy system is a key enabler of the clean energy transition, still infrastructure development and regulatory reforms are both needed to fully capture the benefits of new technology. The Future is Electric Scenario developed as part of the World Energy Outlook of the International Energy Agency maps the investment, technology and policy aspects of the transformation of the electricity system.

Talk: The Future of work" by Daniel Barth, Innovation Coach at Creaffective

Five authors, two years, one book about the future of work. More precisely, it is about getting fit and ready for the future. But the book Future Fit Company is also about self-help: the authors, who work for the consulting company creaffective, realized early on that they needed a model of work and organization that enabled everyone to co-create and shape the work place. And that most of the classical models of organization leave no room for good old common sense.

Daniel Barth, one of the authors, will tell the story of the journey into self-organization. He will talk about obstacles and, in the process, clean up with some of the myths and ideological terms surrounding the concepts of self-organization and agility. He wants to show both the possibilities as well as limitations of so-called “organizationl technologies” like sociocracy and holacracy. And he will explain why Future Fit Company is talking about Kanban and sprints, but not about Scrum.

Afterwards we will listen to a live-music show by the legendary Jazz-Band LBT

Live Techno. Achieved purely acoustically on piano, bass and drums without computers or synthesizers. From lyrical to minimal, deep to industrial: the sound of LBT is multifaceted while being constantly pushed forward by a pulsing bass drum. Their music is a journey within, inviting dreams and ecstatic dancing alike. Having grown up on modern jazz, this trio takes its true love seriously: improvisation. One might hear delicate phrasing from the piano or its strings prepared with guitar picks, the bass bowed beautifully or nearly chopped to pieces, and the drums fully exhausted from fine rustling to mighty grooves.

Leo Betzl - piano
Maximilian Hirning - bass
Sebastian Wolfgruber - drums
