German-Japanese pianist Mona Asuka comes to The Lovelace to showcase her two biggest passions: the grand piano and chocolate cake.
As a pianist, Mona regularly appears on many of the biggest stages and at major festivals around the world. From an early age, her passion for baking has equally developed - as you can convince yourself on her Instagram channel - and has lead to a monthly column in Japan's biggest music magazine Ongaku no Tomo .
The evening includes two sets of Mona playing pieces from her current album and a tasting of her spectacular chocolate cake in intermission.
With this event, Steinway & Sons, The Lovelace and David Skudlik kick off a new series of showcasing young world-class musicians who also have fantastic talents in addition to their musicality.
