About the approach

The fourth industrial revolution is redefining how we work, live and relate to one another. We are on the edge of letting technology define our behaviors, intelligence and values – and the very essence of what it means to be humane. However, as humans we are mostly not quantifiable and rational, but rather driven by connections with others, intuition, emotions and meaningful experiences.

We are confronted with the challenge: How can we better align innovation with our human nature?

Our current design and innovation processes mostly focus on how to innovate – agile, iterative, lean - or aim to enhance the user experience by addressing problems as well as functional and aesthetical needs. With these approaches, you will generate in an agile manner innovative, convenient and visually appealing solutions. But the true inner motivation and psychological needs of your customers will fall behind.

To create truly positive and fullfiling experiences, you have to understand the key influencers that make your user's perceive an experience as pleasurable. Our approach, based on a vast theoretical background from sociology and positive psychology, takes this into account in order to establish positive experiences as the global goal of innovation activities.
