Dear Friends of the Berlin Impact Investing Roundtable,

it is our pleasure to invite you all to the next Impact Investing Roundtable with Martin Vogelsang, EVPA Country Representative for DACH Region. It will take place on Tuesday, January 22nd, 6.30pm - 9pm at IAC Linienstraße 65A, 10119 Berlin (After the talk we will go to Café Altes Europa, Gipsstraße 11, 10119 Berlin, for drinks and networking)

What is the talk about?

The recently launched Bundesinitiative Impact Investing (BII) is an intersectoral platform helping to build a German ecosystem for impact investing. It is supported by BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, Bertelsmann Stiftung, Phineo and various other foundations, financial service providers, NGOs, companies and research bodies. BII is committed to support investors and investees in their work by providing networking opportunities, a legal framework in favour of Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment and by facilitating learning. It is BII’s overall mission to increase the market volume of impact investing in order to contribute to the Agenda 2030 goals. The initiative is part of the worldwide Global Steering Group (GSG - www.gsgii.org).

Martin Vogelsang - Besides his coordination work for Bundesinitiative Impact Investing, Martin is the Country Representative for the DACH Region of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA). Martin is also a managing partner of Social Synergy from Mumbai in India. The organization invests patient capital and on-the-ground technical advisory into its portfolio organizations, supporting them in developing and streamlining their business models and creating all-round social return. Martin has a PhD in Business Ethics, Department of Economics from Universität Eichstätt in Germany.
