Green Movie Night V: Under The Berlin Sky
Event Information

Description
Here we go!
And because we are in June, it’s warm and we got the Berlin vibe, we are doing an open-air cinema session.
With the nice breeze, the popcorn smell, the green stories and all the lovely people around is there anything missing? Oh yes, of course, refreshing beers and cocktails obviously! They’ll be there too. Bring your own glass or mug (or bucket) from home to gain some karma points!
We will be showing six movies which showcase our transition from our urban beekeeping campaign to this month’s paramount campaign against plastic waste. Stories about the interactions between wildlife and humanity.
Beebox: We know there’s honey, queens and drama in a beehive. But what happens really within the bee box? A dive into the real life of bees.
Portrait of an Urban beekeeper: We all imagine bees being kept in a field full of colourful flowers but what about cities? Pittsburgh-based Stephen Repasky challenges this perception by showing how he became an urban beekeeper surrounded by city, skyscrapers and pavement.
Our Wonderful Nature - The Common Chameleon: Chameleons are wonderful and magnificent animals. They can change their colours, and their eyes provide them with 360-degree vision, and they can surprise even the fastest flies. But they also have a weak point you probably not know about...
Bardu’s Story: Some camera traps left inside one of the most biodiverse forests of Africa, the Bwindi National Park in Uganda, show the fascinating animals that are hidden in that area. And if you thought you knew them all, you were probably wrong.
Blau: The ocean. The vastness of the sea. A whale cow and her calf. In BLAU the life and mythology of these giant marine mammals are woven into one fantastical story. What is real and what isn’t when you’re alone in the infinite?
The Majestic Plastic Bag: This film tracks the “migration” of a plastic bag from a grocery store parking lot to the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” in the Pacific Ocean. The trip of a lifetime.
An eye-opening evening with nature on your side. A fresh evening in freiluft and in good company.
