Description

NOTE: This event is for cluster managers and individuals that represent an aerospace network!

For a 2nd time EACP plans to gather aerospace cluster managers globally: We want to bring all aerospace cluster managers closer together on July 20, 2018, in the frame of the Farnborough Airshow. This year we would like to discuss how to cooperate internationally, on cluster management- and on members level. The idea originates from the European Aerospace Cluster Partnership (EACP) which was initiated in 2009 and ever since successfully underlines the benefit of international cooperation despite all competition.

When: Friday, July 20, 2018, 08:00 to 13:30 hours
Where:
Wax Chandlers Hall, The City, 6 Gresham Street, EC2V 7AD, London

Aerospace clusters are located in different structures all over the world and a closer linkage between them ensures a constant exchange of knowledge and information for the benefit of their respective members, ideally leading to a best practice exchange within the industry.
Holding a solid platform which is connecting cluster managers worldwide notably supports B2B/B2R/C2C-matches and stimulates innovation in aerospace industry regions. Since our first meeting in the last year, we can already feel a closer link between European an specific other regions.

High-level keynote speakers from industry and public authorities will open the event but will leave much room for discussion between the cluster managers. This year we will focus on how to cooperate internationally, on a cluster management level but also on a membership level. We would like to learn how you are doing this for your region and to understand how to establish an international cooperation with you.

The UK members of EACP will be hosting this year’s meeting. The Wax Chandlers Company is one of London’s ancient guilds. 500 years ago the Company control the trade in beeswax in the City of London – was this a medieval version of a cluster? For more about the Wax Chandlers Company see www.waxchandlers.org.uk. We will open the Wax Chandlers Court Room; on display there is the Company’s Royal Charter granted by King Richard III in 1484 (the original document).

With this registration, you allow us to put your name and company on the list of participants that will be share with all present participants during the event. If you do not agree with that, please inform the organisers latest at July 12th.
