Gender sensitivity and stereotype perception in medical university students

Gender medicine is critical to reducing health inequalities. Knowledge of students' attitudes and beliefs about men, women, and gender is important for improving gendered medicine courses. The purpose of this study is to assess gender stereotypes and its predictors in Italian medical students. We conducted an online study among students at the University of Salerno (Southern Italy) using the validated Nijmegen Gender Awareness Scale in Medicine to explore gender sensitivity and stereotypes. Focusing on gender awareness in medical schools can contribute to better care
