This event is a collaboration between futures thinkers and foresight practitioners from the Futures Space community. Members self-organized to explore Futures of Social Media as a relevant and timely topic to approach as a collective in order to provide insights and guidelines on how to tackle this future challenge.

Have you watched ‘The Social Dilemma’, the recently released Netflix documentary? We’ve seen it too, and thought immediately: it is our duty as a community of Futurists and Futures Activist to challenge such a topic and think about better futures.

In this session we will present the preliminary results from our initial co-creation sessions where we challenge ideas of privacy, data ownership and even bring in a provocation on what if social media did not exist? As well as attempt to answer: how might we approach these issues without inducing fear?
