Future Food Series: Alternative Cheese
Event Information
About this Event
Welcome to the fourth event in our Future Food Series! This time, we are diving into the topic of alternative cheese.
Plant-based cheese is one of the biggest opportunities in the plant-based sector, as the European Consumer Survey of over 6,000 consumers by ProVeg International in 2020 found.¹ While plant-based milk and meat alternatives have seen a steep increase in consumption and acceptance, the plant-based cheese industry has been lagging behind — however, more and more companies are working on alternative products that make it easier for consumers to switch.²
Innovative ingredients and formulation and new technologies like precision fermentation could be game changers for the plant-based cheese industry. On 10 March we will talk to some of the pioneers and leaders in the space.
The event will be held in English.
