About this event
Intensive stand-up comedy workshop in English.
This course is perfect for beginner comedians, people interested but inexperienced, and performers from other branches.
Learning to do comedy is not only for those who want to make people laugh on stage. It can be used for all kinds of professional and personal situations. Presentations in the office, teaching classes, conferences, trainings, creative writing, etc.
We will study comedy theory (basics, resources, formulas, etc.), tools for the stage, how to create your original material and present it to an audience.
The course is theoretical-practical, so we will also do relevant exercises to fortify those comic muscles and consolidate the knowledge obtained. At the end, we will work the comedy routine of each of the participants.
The objectives of the course are:
- That you better understand how comedy works and how to use it to your advantage in your personal and professional environment.
- To learn how to create original comedy material.
- To be able to present it in the best way on stage.
- That you finish the course with a 3-5 minute routine ready for your first Open-mic.
Dates:
Saturday, February 25: 11:00 to 15:30.
Sunday February 26th: 11:00 to 15:30
The Location is on the outskirts of Frankfurt. 25 minutes from Frankfurt city center on public transport.
Duration 4.5 hours per day. - Total 9 hours (May be extended to 10 hours, depending on pace and group size). There will be no break for lunch. Please have a proper breakfast before coming to the workshop :)

Comedy sensei:
- Carlos Fontes "Chadmax". Stand-up comedian since 2013. The No. 1 Spanish-speaking comedian in Germany (according to his aunts).
He has shared stages in Mexico and Europe with some of the best comedians in Mexico such as "La Cotorrisa", Ricardo O'farril, Adal Ramones, among others.
In 2022, he toured several countries in Europe doing stand-up in Spanish; Spain, Holland, Italy, Ireland, France, and of course, Germany!
Creator of Stand-up Comedy Berlin and one of the main comedy teachers in the capital.
