Join us on this worldwirde special day with a daring special practice!!
Lady Niguma's yoga is the first traditional yoga of a yogini. The oldest version of her yoga, written by Lama Taranta (* 1575), is around 400 years old and all exercises are based precisely on these records.
The first and so far only published yoga series by Lady Niguma, is about the opening of the chakras with the help of different yoga poses. The exercises follow a logical sequence from bottom to top through all chakras and have a strong effect on the prana in the body. The goal of Lady Niguma's Yoga is to remove the blockages on the chakras.
This gentle practice will prepare us for the Tibetan Death Meditation.
„Walking Into Your Own Death“ *
Mindfulness of death or death awareness (Maraṇasati ) is a Buddhist meditation practice wherein a variety of different techniques is used to reflect on the nature of death.
Contemplation and meditation on death and impermanence are regarded as very important in Buddhism. It is only by recognising how precious and how short life is that we are most likely to make it meaningful and to live it fully and by understanding the death process and familiarizing ourself with it, we can take away the fear of the unknown, thus allowing us to die skilfully.
This guided narrative meditation leads you gently into your own death, and – as a matter of fact – rejoices your being alive!
