Designing of PV-Diesel-Storage Systems with SMA Power Plant Manager

In many sunny regions of the world, SMA PV inverters in combination with diesel generators and/or the utility grid have already become the most economical way to generate electrical energy, even without subsidies. The same controller used in PV-Diesel systems also allows the operation of large-scale battery plants .
The professional designing of PV-Diesel hybrid energy systems is often complex because the fuel saving and the smooth operation of the system depend on the load profile and the sizing of the PV plant. Battery plants require a correct dimensioning to ensure a smooth operation of the complete storage system and an optimal battery lifetime.
Designers need up-to-date information for properly using the latest SMA technology in their projects.
After this advanced training you should be able and qualified to understand SMA solutions and to design reliable PV-Diesel energy systems and battery plants based on the successful SMA Hybrid Controller.
The topics are the function of the main components, including system design using the latest version of the SMA software Sunny Design Web.
Please do not forget to bring your laptop and its power adapter. The seminar consists of four days and includes lessons, workshops, and a visit to the SMA Hybrid Test Center.
