Event Information
About this event
| DEROCON: "DeroDAG and the Future"; Hosted @ Blockchain Embassy
The cloud, IoT, and the internet at large all rely on centralized systems that are open to spying and censorship.
| What is DeroDAG? Join us for an informative panel night showcasing DeroDAG Blockchain Technology!
Dero was founded in December of 2017, with no ICO and has been growing into a private smart contract and DAG leader in the blockchain space. This is due to Captain Dero, the lead developer of Dero who brings more than 10 years of cryptography experience to the table. At this panel, a Dero overview will be presented at an introductory level. We will introduce you to the concept of a DAG. Then we will take a deeper dive into the main use cases for private smart contracts that will be enabled by the dero network. We will also cover the Dero file system which will enable smart contracts to have storage on the Dero network.
| Audience
Blockchain enthusiasts, developers, business owners looking for real-world working blockchain solutions, futurists, hackers, fellow cypherpunks as well as all other people interested in developing a social impact with digital transactions through blockchain technology.
| Key Takeaways:
We hope to provide a level of knowledge in the DeroDAG technologies to the point that the audience can run with the information and start to do their own research to know if Dero is a good fit for them.
| About the Speakers:
Elliot
Elliot has been in the cryptocurrency space for the last 5 years and knows interesting technologies when he sees them. He has a background in coding and blockchain. He first stumbled onto Dero in a BTC forum post where people were trading this coin OTC. He did more research and realized this currency was bringing something to the table that has never been done by a cryptocurrency before, smart contracts on a public chain, where details of interactions with contracts were private. His interest piqued, he decided to dive deeper. This led him to realize this technology could be used for IoT devices, Asset registries, and many other use cases.
