Data & Tech have changed political campaigns forever. Now is the question: What kind of international regulations & rules do we need

Zu diesem Event

Digitization has completely altered the way our societies communicate and how political opinion-making is shaped. But Foreign interference, data leaks on social media platforms and spreading populism across the globe have made it more important than ever to define a global rule-based system and code of conduct that sets a common standard and protects democratic elections.

Germany’s leading startup for Digital Political Communications will give a short overview on where the debate stands and what needs to be done now to secure democracies in a technology and data-driven world. Afterwards we will debate together with Teddy Goff, one of America’s leading figures from the campaigning landscape, what particular set of rules we need and how the United Nations or other international organizations could take action.
