Creative Bureaucracy Festival: Digital Kick-Off Day

In 2023, the Creative Bureaucracy Festival will return with the Digital Kick-Off Day on 23 March and the highlight event on 15 June live in Berlin.

The Digital Kick-Off Day on 23 March 2023 will offer a packed programme of inspiring examples of creative bureaucracy in action. It is a free online event for everyone across the globe with jury-selected sessions from our global Call For Participation – kicking off another year of public sector innovation and offering an additional platform for forward-thinking ideas and projects prior to the live festival in Berlin.

The day is split into two parts: a German language half and an English language half. The German language half focuses on projects in the DACH region and the English half on projects from all over the world. Both halves have a comparable format: Each half will start with a live welcome session from our festival team and some special guests. This is followed by a digital exhibition of the successful Call For Participation sessions to showcase a wide spectrum of examples of creative bureaucracy in action.

All jury-selected sessions from our global Call For Participation will be part of a community voting. The voting will be open to our community one week prior to the event and closed at the end of the Digital Kick-Off Day. Three winning sessions (per language) will be offered a programme slot at the Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2023 live in Berlin on 15 June 2023. With your vote you are able to create the programme for the live event together with us! Once all sessions are presented on 23 March, we review the votes and announce the winners at the end of the respective programme section.

All sessions will be grouped into four topic clusters representing key issues within the creative bureaucracy sphere:

Der Digital Kick-Off Day bietet ein umfangreiches Programm mit inspirierenden Beispielen für kreative und innovative Verwaltung. An dem Online-Event kann jeder aus aller Welt kostenlos teilnehmen und alle von unserer Jury ausgewählten Beiträge aus unserem Call for Participation mitverfolgen. Der Tag schafft eine weitere Plattform für zukunftsweisende Ideen und Projekte und läutet ein neues Jahr für Verwaltungsinnovation noch vor dem großen Live-Festival in Berlin ein.

Der Tag ist in zwei Teile aufgeteilt: eine erste deutschsprachige Hälfte und eine zweite englischsprachige Hälfte. Der deutschsprachige Teil konzentriert sich auf Projekte in der DACH-Region, der englischsprachige Teil auf internationale Projekte aus der ganzen Welt. Darauf folgt die Ausstrahlung der erfolgreichen Beiträge aus unserem Call for Participiation, die ein breites Spektrum an Beispielen für kreative und innovative Verwaltungsarbeit präsentieren.

Die von der Jury ausgewählten Beiträge aus unserem weltweiten Call for Participation werden Teil eines Community-Votings. Die Abstimmung läuft bis zum Ende des Digital Kick-Off Days für unsere Community und startet eine Woche vor dem Event. Die drei Gewinner-Sessions (pro Sprache) erhalten einen Programmplatz auf dem Creative Bureaucracy Festival 2023, das am 15. Juni 2023 in Berlin stattfindet! Sie können Ihre Stimme abgeben und mit uns zusammen das Live-Event gestalten. Nachdem alle Sessions am 23. März präsentiert wurden, werten wir die Stimmen aus und verkünden die Gewinner live am Ende des jeweiligen Programmteils.

Alle Sessions sind in vier Themencluster unterteilt, die zentrale Fragen im Bereich von Creative Bureaucracy abdecken:
