Further information
In this workshop, you will be shown a variety of decoration techniques:
- Using slips, engobes and oxide pencils to create more depth; inlay technique, resist and sgraffito
- Applying underglaze transfers to add stunning patterns to your pieces
- Glazes and overglazes (painting over glazes)
How the class will be structured:
- During the first session you will be shown the range of techniques and you will be making a few pieces that you can decorate using slips/engobes and underglaze transfers. You will leave the pieces with us to be fired.
- During the second session you will glaze and decorate some pieces with overglazes if you so wish.
After this, your pottery will be fired and ready to collect in about 2 weeks. We will notify you via email when the pieces are ready for collection.
During this class you are welcome to play and experiment, making any object/s you like. Due to the limited class size of 6 people, you will have plenty of 1-on-1 time for questions and support.
Please bring your own apron. You can also purchase one at our shop.
