Berlin and New York: Economic opportunities in the mobility sector
About this event
New York City is known for having one of the most complex mobility and transport systems in the world. Now New York is entering a new era of mobility. With changing transportation habits and the pressure of cutting emissions, New York City is transforming its mobility patterns.
In the Urban Energy & Mobility Network’s Online Meetup “Berlin and New York: Economic opportunities in the mobility sector” we are cooperating with the Berlin Business Office USA to discuss current challenges and explore the mobility ecosystem of New York City to find out how you can get involved as a Berlin company.
Stacey Matlen, Director of Innovation Programs at Partnership for NYC will give insights on the most pressing urban challenges in the mobility sector and point out best-practices and innovation to address these challenges. Jonathan Lane, Vice President for Infrastructure Innovation and Director of Urbantech NYC within the New York City Economic Development Corporation, will present piloting opportunities in the mobility sector initiated by the city, especially by the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT).
