The winner of the world's longest ultra run reveals its secrets
Andrea Marcato's (38) fitness, resilience and regeneration ability are phenomenal. Instead of exhausted and emaciated, he crossed the finish line muscular, dynamic and beaming with happiness - an internally balanced athlete full of joy of life. He looks ten years younger and is reminiscent of a young divine hero in a Greek legend! How is such a miracle possible? His recipe for success is not only valuable for top athletes, but for people in all areas of life.
Secret #1 – the diet: what helped him in preparation to get himself in top shape, and which four vegan organic foods have proven themselves particularly well in one of the toughest tests in the world.
Secret #2 – the training of inner abilities: what mental and spiritual preparation enabled him to achieve his extreme endurance performance - to run an average of 114.7 km per day for 43.5 days, with only 4-5 hours of sleep per night, and still stay in physically and mentally balance.
